STEM WOMEN CONGRESS BARCELONA 2023<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Esade Campus auditorium in Barcelona was filled yesterday to attend the fifth edition of the STEM WOMEN CONGRESS, a year in which the initiative has also expanded to Madrid and Lisbon. In 2023, SWC has solidified its presence and expanded internationally. Thus, Barcelona, the city where SWC originated, once again became the meeting point for companies, initiatives, and STEM institutions (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) striving to promote visibility for female talent in STEM sectors. In total, more than 700 people attended the event.<\/p>\n

During the SWC, the SWC Annual Report 2023 was presented, an annual study prepared for four years that provides insights into the impact of initiatives on women and girls, revealing significant data. Based on the findings of the Annual Report, SWC has focused its mission for 2024 on four projects:<\/p>\n

  • The \u201cOne school, one initiative\u201d project aims to reach schools that have not been reached before, expanding the coverage of STEM initiatives and thus fostering an increase in new STEM vocations.<\/li>\n
  • The \u201cOne company, one initiative\u201d project aims to close the gender gap in professional environments through two actions. The first involves generating a service offering for companies interested in retaining their female STEM talent and attracting female STEM talent from abroad. The second action focuses on enhancing the visibility of initiatives both within and outside companies.<\/li>\n
  • Development of the Digital Platform, which will enable the collection of data from all initiatives in each country that join this project.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Additionally, Eva D\u00edaz, CEO of the STEM WOMEN Congress, announced that \u201cbased on the analysis of initiatives and the conclusions of the SWC Annual Report, SWC has set the goal of ensuring that 100% of schools, training centers, universities, and large companies in Spain have a STEM Women initiative by 2050.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
